The Seneschal of Straithearn (French: la Seneschal de la Ruisseau de Hèrne) is the head of state of the Juniperian province of Straithearn. The officeholder is considered the personal representative of the monarch within the province, thus the powers of the Seneschal are purely ceremonial, often comparative to a Governor of a Commonwealth realm. The Seneschal may also confer awards of the province to citizens of the province and outsiders, a privilege that civil servants of the province do not have.
Royal standard
The royal standard of Straithearn is borne by the Seneschal alone. Even if the Seneschal (in the current scenario) holds another suprerior royal office, Westavian laws state that there shall not be quartering of the royal arms of dominion into the banner of arms of the Seneschal because the two entities are seperate.
