San Juan is a borough of the State of Avon, founded in August 2021 under the State of Herzetia. San Juan is one of the largest boroughs of Avon, and is one of only two that are outside of the US state of Oregon. San Juan has no permanent population.
Etymology
The name San Juan comes from the San Juan River, which Chairman Asher Young's pioneer ancestors traversed through the Southwestern United States. The name of the Borough seat, Holden, comes from the name of Judge Holden, a possibly mythical historical figure who features prominently in Cormac McCarthy's 1985 western novel Blood Meridian.
Vexillology
San Juan's flag incorporates elements of Mormon pioneer history. The blue and white bars mimic the flag of the State of Deseret, and the beehive represents the communal values of the state of Utah.
