Roineland officially the Province of Roineland (Mussian: Rpecobćab Peobaüibm), is a province of Thulia. It is the smallest administrative division of Thulia by area, with a size of 0.000119 km2, constituting 1.18% of Thulia's land area. Roineland is situated in a field, which makes it inaccessible most of the summer. It borders Sweden in all directions and the nearest province is New Greenland, being c. 150 metres (492 ft) north-east. The island is made up of a group of trees on a base of stones from the surrounding field, put there by the farmers and Roines.

Etymology

Roineland is a combination of the name of the first Roin, Roine and the word 'land'. The name was created by the Roines as Peobaüibm and later translated by Rasmus Axelsson in the early 1990s in his project to archive the history of the people.

History

Roineland as a province of Thulia began of 3 June 2023 when Svante Axelsson was on his way home after a visit at a friend's house. He had seen the island that was going to be named Roineland and asked his mother to stop the car. He got out and walked through the field until he got to the north side. He walked around the rocks for some time until he found a small space between the trees on the south side. For some reason, he ripped a stick from a nearby tree and started hacking away at the branches. He did this until around 21:30 UTC+2, when he finally went home. On 13 June, the island joined Thulia as the fourth province. Althrough the summer, Axelsson continously visited Roineland to relax and build up the place after the Battle of Roineland.

On 22 October 2023, a large part of one of the trees in southern Roineland was found fallen over by Axelsson, while on a walk. It was speculated that winds had snapped it. As the tree in question was dead, it was extra brittle and therefore easier to break. Because of this the outline of Roineland has changed drastically. The tree that broke was one of the largest and almost completely blocked the entrances into Roineland from the south and north-west.

  1. "Liberty" is speculated to be the only word the Roine people know that does not derive from Mussian.
