Robert Motum is a micronational researcher and PhD candidate based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[1] His current project, Scripted Borders: The Political Performance of Micronationhood offers an exploration of micronations through the lens of performance studies. By examining micronational case studies through the writing of theorists from theatre, geography, and linguistics, the project seeks to ask: how do we perform nationhood, and what is a nation?
