Republic of Yurban
The Republic of Yurban (Croatian: Republika Yurban), established in 2024 as the rightful heir to the micronation Empire of Bora Bora, stands as a unique enclave harmonizing the principles of a republic with the grace of a monarchy. Nestled just 20 kilometers from Dubbo in New South Wales, Yurban stakes its claim on a modest parcel of land, embodying its commitment to responsible governance and environmental stewardship.
Yurban proudly embraces English and Croatian as its official languages, a linguistic fusion that mirrors the micronation's cultural diversity. The decision to speak both languages reflects Yurban's dedication to inclusivity, fostering a sense of unity among its citizens while paying homage to its historical roots.
At the heart of Yurban's governance is a delicate dance between republicanism and monarchy. The micronation's innovative approach to leadership combines the principles of a republic, ensuring active citizen participation, with the regal touch of a ceremonial monarchy. The monarch, elected by the people, symbolizes continuity and tradition, embodying the micronation's cultural identity on the international stage. In this Republican Monarchy, Yurban charts a distinct course in the realm of micronations, blending democratic values with regal symbolism to create a dynamic and engaging community.

History
Independence
In the evening on February 9th, at 11:55 pm, the national anthem of the Empire of Bora Bora was played for the last time as the flag was lowered and replaced with the new flag of the Republic of Yurban. The new national anthem was played at exactly midnight February 10th with all documents changed and a new constitution enacted. This had come after many debates about changing the country from a Monarchy to a Republic, however many people had voted for this not to happen and it was delayed. At 6:00 am AEST the elected President Nick made an address to the public about the changes of law.
However, the Yurban Peoples Party (YPP) disagreed with the new government, so they began a 4-day-long coup, they took the capital Trissapole under siege and renamed it Trissadev, after Jake Trissadev, a former member of their party (now a part of the Yurban Democratic Party) and began to try to deform the government slowly, however failed after the Yurban Defense Forces were called to arrest anyone who did not comply. A total of 17-35 arrests were made however the number is disputed to this day. This is because many records were burned as a sign/act of protest against the government by the YPP.
The Yurban Wars
An Outpost found on the outskirts of Trissadev was known for housing escaped convicts and prisoners, and on March 8th 2024, the Yurban Defense Force troops moved in and seized the outpost. A total of 25 convicts were sent back to prison or deported to Australia. That evening the Yurban Peoples Party (YPP) brought up the matter and asked the Minister of Defense, about how the situation was handled, he responded with “The YDF engaged in a clash with known convicts and criminals, however, nobody was seriously injured and all have been sent to prison or deported.” He refused to comment any further and denied Senator Arujio’s request to have access to the debriefing of the situation. The next day the YDF engaged with people claiming to be the “Serbian Defense League” and were protesting for their freedom to speak out.
Another 2 arrests were made but both were released. Days went on as more protests happened and more arrests were made, however, on April 27th, the first tear gas shots were fired to get the crowd to leave. Over the next 4 days, major clashes between police and protesters happened with large amounts of people injured, but the worst day was May 1st, when 2 armed SDL members did stabbings in the city of Narromine next to the Republic, 1 of them travelled into Trissadev and attacked 8 citizens with a knife and pole. In the days that followed the Senate made a vote to allow police to use any force necessary to stop people, from disturbing the peace. On May 8th 2024, 2 months after the start of the conflicts, the protests stopped, after police announced to use of deadly force on anyone who chose to try and attack police. Small protests are still held, to this day but nowhere near the scale before. The Yurban People’s Party still tries to remove the capitalist government today through votes of no confidence and other political votes.
The Winter War
During the evening of June 25th, The Yurban Armed Forces engaged a small exclave known as GMSS "God's Merciful Summit of Serbs" after they had mobilised forces and claimed control over the northern part of Yurban. It took a total of 4 days before GMSS took control over all of Trissadev leaving a small section of the capital, before The Republic of Yurban signed a deal with the West Rulish Empire granting soldiers to be mobilised to the border for a counter attack, which in return allowed the YAF or YDF to take full control over GMSS and liberate all the people from the communist dictatorship in place. The war lasted a total of 62 days before it finally ended, however people still claim that it never fully ended.
The Collapse
The Republic of Yurban was overthrown on August 29th after the Yurban People's Party took full control over the country and became the Sole ruler of Yurban.

Climate
The Macquarie River runs through Dubbo, as does Troy Creek. The City of Dubbo lies within a transition zone between the ranges and tablelands of the Great Dividing Range to the east and the Darling Basin plains to the west.
Climate
Dubbo falls in the warm temperate climate zone. Under Köppen climate classification, Dubbo has a humid subtropical climate (Cfa) that borders the semi-arid climate (BSk). Summers are warm to hot, and winters cool to cold, bringing some occurrences of early morning frost but generally no snowfall – unlike the nearby city of Orange. The last occurrence of snow was recorded by The Dubbo Liberal and Macquarie Advocate in July 1951 and 1920. The town's location in this transition area allows a large temperature variation during the year, with high summer temperatures, sometimes peaking above 40 °C (104 °F) typical of the Western Plains of New South Wales and colder subzero temperatures typical of the Central Tablelands in winter.
Dubbo's location in the transition area between the Central Tablelands and the Central Western Plains has provided a mild distribution of rainfall throughout the year. Dubbo's wettest month is January with an average rainfall of 58.7 mm (2.31 in) occurring on average over five days. Evaporation in the Dubbo area averages around 1,880 mm (74 in) per year. Dubbo is considerably sunny, receiving 148.6 days of clear skies annually, in contrast to Sydney's 104 days.
Wind patterns vary over the whole year. The prevailing winds at Dubbo are from the southeast, south, southwest and west, which account for a combined 64.4% of the wind direction over the whole year.
