The Republic of Sototen is a Republican Micronation surrounded by the county of Kent, in the United Kingdom. It has always been a republic but its neighbouring micronation, which merged with the republic, was formerly a monarchist nation.
Police
The Police and their supporting laws in Sototen have been being built up almost since the foundation of the republic. The nation used to have two constabularies and one national security agency, here is a list of those: - Sototen Police Constabulary - Sototen Border Constabulary - National Security Agency
There are also various county constabularies. After the passing of the Police Act the three national Agencies will be merged into one, Sototen Police Force.
The Uniform of the Sototen Police is similar to that of the UK, however police wear different shades of blue shirts Or white rather than black in sototen. The police carry the following equipment: - Rigid Handcuffs (Police constables) - Chain ‘toy’ Handcuffs (Police Support officers) - Lanyard - ID - A black or Hi-Vis Vest with police badges - A yellow Ruler and Traffic Direction Device - In limited Circumstances- Nerf Gun
Police officers in Sototen barely have to use their handcuffs or their powers of arrest, They mostly issue parking and speeding tickets and check ID.
