The republic was established on 2 November 2022 as a semi-presidential republic. The nation's constitution was developed and written over a span of a few days from there and was ratified on 6 November 2022.
Politics and Government
The nation is a semi-presidential republic with a bicameral congress.
President
The president is the republic's executive head of state. They serve for a term of two years and are elected by congress. They appoint the prime minister, as well as other ministers, and chair the council of state. The president also has functions as commander-in-chief of any established armed forces.
Prime Minister
The prime minister is the republic's head of government. They are appointed by the president. The prime minister also sits as head of the cabinet, nominating ministers to be appointed by the president. They oversee government operations and play an important role in national legislation. As well as this, the prime minister sits as a member of the council of state.
Council of State
The council of state is the senior most advisory body to the president. They advise the president on how to exercise most of their powers. It consists of the president, prime minister and some members appointed directly by the president.
Congress
The Congress of the Republic is the primary national legislature. It consists of a senate and chamber of deputies. The prime minister and cabinet are all members of congress.
Congress is in charge of voting on and passing national laws, and also some advisory duties to the president.
Congress is elected annually. The chamber of deputies is elected by proportional representation and the senate by single transferable vote.
