The Sovereign Kingdom of Ranzania Passport, commonly referred to as the Ranzanian passport (Romanian: Pașaport Ranzanian) (Ranzanian Novum Romanum: Passaportum Ranzaniam), is a passport issued to citizens of the Kingdom of Ranzania for the purpose of international travel and identification. It serves as a physical, as well as an official Ranzanian virtual document for proving citizenship.
History
The first Ranzanian passport was emitted on 2 November 2022. Until then, citizens utilized the personal Citizen Identity Card (ID) emitted by the Ranzanian Department of Citizen Services to travel abroad and identify as citizens of the Kingdom of Ranzania.
The current version of the Ranzanian passport was emitted on 24 July 2024.
Types
The types of passports are:
- Diplomatic
- Simple (biometric): valid for 10 years for applicants aged 16 or over, 5 years for children.
- Simple (temporary): valid for 12 months, issued as an emergency travel document.
Description
Regular Ranzanian passports are ebony black in colour, with the Ranzanian Coat of Arms emblazoned in the centre of the front cover. The words "Kingdom of Ranzania", "Regatul Ranzaniei" and "Passport" are are inscribed above and below the coat of arms.

The Ranzanian Passport, as well as the Virtual Passport, include the following data:

The information page ends with the Machine Readable Code. The data page/information page is printed in English and Romanian.
Virtual Passport - Online platform
The Ranzanian Department of Citizen Services (RDep. Citizen Services) is responsible for the issuance and renewal of Ranzanian passports.
The Ranzanian passport may be accessed and used by citizens without a physical copy being required, thanks to the Virtual Passport initiative launched by the Ranzanian Crown. The biometric data of the citizens is stored on a large-scale online encrypted platform, therefore, immigration and travel can only be done using the CNC (Romanian: Cod Numeric de Cetățenie). This digital solution aims to modernize travel and identity verification procedures, making them more convenient and secure.
Additionally, the Virtual Passport system simplifies the process of verifying identity and crossing borders, as immigration authorities can quickly access and verify biometric data associated with the CNC. By minimizing the need for physical passport production, the initiative contributes to environmental sustainability and reduces the use of resources associated with traditional passport manufacturing.
The online platform
Citizens can access their Virtual Passport through a secure online portal provided by the RDep. Citizen Services. This portal is designed to be user-friendly, allowing individuals to manage their passport information, renew their passport, and perform other related functions efficiently.
