Project Nations was a community for project nations. It was created to distance itself away from the micronation brand the stigma associated with that label. Project Nations had over 220 members before it shut down, which made it one of the largest micronational discord communities. It was known for its members vandalising MicroWiki articles and sockpuppeting on MicroWiki@Discord.
Universal Nation Classification
Used by the community, it was developed to gauge all world nations. It covers government structure, land claims, occupational power, population & capacity to enter into international diplomacy and trade.
It was developed to screen-out simulationist micronations.
1. Recognized Nation Requirements
- MUST have a structured government
- MUST have an institutionalized government
- MUST have citizens
- MUST have a defined land claim
- MUST have occupational power over land
- MUST have permanent population
- MUST have developed and developing infrastructure
- MUST have Law, Order and Monopoly over Violence (police, military)
- MUST have a capacity to enter into international diplomacy & trade
- MUST have recognition by majority of Recognized nations
2. Semi-Recognized Nation Requirements
- MUST have a structured government
- MUST have an institutionalized government
- MUST have citizens
- MUST have a defined land claim
- MUST have occupational power over land
- MUST have permanent population
- MUST have developed and developing infrastructure
- MUST have Law, Order and Monopoly over Violence (police, military)
- MUST have a capacity to enter into international diplomacy & trade
- MUST have recognition by one or more Recognized nations
3. Unrecognized Nation Requirements
- MUST have a structured government
- MUST have an institutionalized government
- MUST have citizens
- MUST have a defined land claim
- MUST have occupational power over land
- MUST have permanent population
- MUST have developed and developing infrastructure
- MUST have Law, Order & Monopoly over Violence
- MUST have a capacity to enter into international diplomacy & trade
