Inner Baldonia

The Principality of Inner Baldonia was created on Nov 14th, 2021 by Prince Benjamin, Prince Maxwell and Prince Ezra of the the order of Baldonia. It’s motto is “Libertad et Simiae” (Liberty and Monkeys). It’s original name was “The federated states of Outang”. However on November the 25th, it was changed to “The Principality of Inner Baldonia” after the Canadian micronation “The principality of Outer Baldonia” which was created in Canada, in Nova Scotia. Inner Baldonia was also created in Canada. However it was created in a different province which is known only to high ranking members of Baldonia’s all-powerful Monkey party as well as members of the Baldonian Senate, Consuls and all Nobles.

Government system

The Inner Baldonian Government is ruled mostly by the democratically elected Monkey Party which controls all press and media outlets as well as all corporations. Some people believe that this is an absolute oligarchy, however the Baldonian government as well as it’s citizens have denied such allegations as “Attacks on an innocent people”. The people of Baldonia report that it is a kind, loving country that has totally fair elections. While people think Baldonia is a Absolute Oligarchy, the Inner Baldonian government actually has fair elections.

The Principality of Inner Baldonia is kind of all over the place. They have territories in Scotland, England, Vancouver island and much more. admittance to the territories of The Principality of Inner Baldonia are restricted to government officials, family members of government officials and passport holders. Coat of Arms

As you can see, our coat of arms on the side of the page. The white flowers represent the Beauty of our territory. The blue chevron represents the Fraiser river. A river of which most of Inner Baldonia resides near. The red fish symbolises the salmon that run up and down the fraiser river. Finally, our motto « Libertas et Simae » which translates in Latin to « Liberty and Monkeys » a reference to our old name, the Federated States of Outang (named after the ourang outang).

Flag

The flag of Inner Baldonia consists of three colours each with it’s separate symbolism. The Blue on the left of the flag symbolizes the Fraiser River on which most of Inner Baldonian territory resides on. It also bears a symbolism for the tears of the Monkeys being forced to leave their homes as humans chop down their natural habitat. The Red in the middle symbolizes the Blood of the Monkeys being slaughtered unnecessarily and ruthlessly every day. We stand with the Monkey population. Finally the yellow on the right of the flag stands for the food of the monkey. The Bananas, oranges and other yellow foods that our dear monkeys eat.

Political Parties

There are two major political parties within the Principality of Inner Baldonia. The Inner Baldonian Monkey Party, which held the majority of the 20 senate seats prior to the 2024 senate elections, and the Baldonian Worker's Party, which currently holds a majority government, controlling 11 out of the 20 legislative seats. The Monkey Party is a predominantly conservative political party, which had held a majority since the foundation of the senate system in june 2022, while the Worker's Party is a predominantly socialist and far-left party.

Inspiration

The Principality of Inner Baldonia along with most micro-nationalism was inspired by Principality of Sealand and other big micronations such as Republic of Molossia. And other Micronations. We have requested an alliance with the Republic of Molossia and have received a positive response. We have also entered in diplomatic relations with Republic of New Somerset and Dominion of Vancouver Island.

The Senate System

The senate of Inner Baldonia has 20 seats. Each senator is tasked with reprisenting the interests of his or her constituents to the national cabinet. The party with the majority of seats has full control of the reprisentation of the Inner Baldonian Population. For the first term in the history of Inner Baldonia (June 2022 - March 2024) The Monkey Party held an absolute majority over the senate, with a total majority of 17 of the 20 seats, with the remainder all independent candidates. By March 2024, the Worker's Party had won control with a majority of 11 seats, with 7 occupied by the Monkey Party, and 2 occupied by independent candidates.
