Port Cameron is the federal capital city and federal district of the Republic of Kebrait and the seat of a number of national offices.
History
Port Cameron is the oldest city in Kebrait. It was founded on 15 October 2022 to provide a national capital and seat of government for federal offices.
City Government and Politics
Politics
The national congress is granted exclusive jurisdiction over the district however congress does typically allow for a 13 member council that governs the district. This council is overseen by an elected mayor.
Statelessness
Under federal directive, Port Cameron is required to be and remain outside the jurisdiction of a state. As it is under the jurisdiction of the federal government directly, it can't be under the jurisdiction of a state legislature.
Infrastructure
Presidential Palace
The most notable bit of infrastructure in the district is the Presidential Palace. This is the home of the President of Kebrait and the first family. It provides a seat for the presidency, which can then grant some authority to the Vice Presidency and Prime Ministry respectively.
