Pets of Ștefan Marius Snagoveanu

Ștefan Marius Snagoveanu, the current President of Snagov, has owned many cats over time. His fondness of cats has become a notable part of his cult of personality inside Snagov.

Miți (2016–2018)

Miți was the first notable pet cat of Snagoveanu. A stray longhair gray cat, she was adopted by the President's family in 2016. Miți was an intelligent cat, being able to open doors and escape any situation. In 2018, she gave birth to twins, Vasilica and Pitu, who also became pets of Snagoveanu. Miți later passed away due to old age, and was buried in the Snagov Pet Cemetery.

Pitu (2018-present)

Pitu is one of the two kittens of Miți. He inherited his mother's gray fur colour, but does not have a Domestic longhair fur length, actually rather resembling a Domestic shorthair. Amongst all the cats in the Presidential yard, he is the leader, looking to provide and guide the others. He is usually seen alongside his twin sister, Vasilica.

Vasilica (2018-present)

Vasilica is the second of the two kittens of Miți. Just like her twin brother, she inherited Miți's fur colour, but not the fur length, and is actually a shorthair cat. She always follows her brother around, when the two go looking for shelter or food.

Olga (2019-???)

Olga is a stray Calico cat, adopted by the President in 2019. After receiving shelter and food in the Presidential yard, she stayed around and made a full recovery from her poor health. The young cat commonly left the yard, returning days or even weeks later. Olga gave birth to four kittens in 2020, however, it's unknown where they are at the moment. It's probable that Olga and her kittens left the Presidential yard, to search for an even better home. She was last seen around the yard in 2021, and hasn't visited since.

Carlos (2019-present)

Carlos is a stray black shorthair cat, adopted by the President in 2019, a few months after Olga. Originally thought to be male, she was given the name Carlos. It became public knowledge that the cat was female once she was pregnant. Nonetheless, the name Carlos stuck. She is known for spending most of her time at neighbours' yards, only coming back to the Presidential yard to sleep, and to eat together with the others. Carlos is known for being sneaky, and for having a very raspy voice.

Muammar (2021-???)

Muammar is a young gray shorthair cat that spent 6 weeks in the Presidential yard in 2021. He later left, but was seen again in the village, a couple of streets away from the Presidential yard. He wasn't forcefully brought back, but rather left in liberty, as it was his wish. He was named after the late Muammar Gaddafi.

Miți Jr. (2022-2023)

Miți Jr. was a gray shorthair cat who joined the Presidential yard in 2022, alongside Mifome. She was named after Miți, however, the two are not related. Miți Jr. passed away in 2023, after a battle with illness. She was buried in the Snagov Pet Cemetery.

Mifome (2022-???)

Mifome is an orange shorthair cat who joined the Presidential yard in 2022, alongside Miți Jr. His name is a portmanteau of the Romanian sentence "Mi-e foame", which means "I'm hungry", a reference to his big appetite. He left the Presidential yard in 2023, after Miți Jr's death.

Tomi (2022-present)

Tomi is a young gray shorthair cat who joined the Presidential yard in 2022, a few months before Moșu. He is clumsy and timid, relying on the older and more experienced Moșu for protection and guidance. He has grown considerably in 2023, guarding the yard from foreign cats, alongside his mentor, Moșu.

Moșu (2022-2024)

Moșu is an old gray longhair cat who joined the Presidential yard in 2022, a few months after Tomi. He was a father figure for the younger cat, although it is unknown if the two were related. He helped protect the yard from foreigners and was training the next generation to be strong, just like him. He passed away due to old age in March 2024.

Akay (2024-present)

Akay is a young calico shorthair cat who joined the Presidential yard in 2024. She was a stray that was adopted by Snagoveanu. She is curious and energetic, loving to play together with Tomi. Akay loves to climb on top of high things, such as trees and roofs.
