The Peerage of Maldernia is a collection of Duchies and counties. Most of these titles are titular, and hold no real significance in Maldernian Government and politics. Titular titles are awarded to foreign dignitaries, people who have done a great service to the nation, and members of the royal family. However, there are also maningful titles that have authority attached to them. These titles grant authority over the land they encompass, comparable to the power of a governor in the United States. These smaller titles have their own governments, but most are absolute rulership due to the small amount of land and citizens each duchy possesses, they cannot effectively form a government.
Titular Titles
There are currently three titular titles. One belonging to the Prime Minister of The Republic of Arkadelphia, the County of Riverfield, one belonging to the Prince of Grondines-Anjou, that being the Duke of Oakleaf, and one final one belonging to the heir to the throne of Maldernia, the Duke of Nectarine.
Meaningful Titles
As of now, there is only one meaningful title in Maldernia, the Duke of Saint George, due to it being an enclave, the duchy has to be self-governed.
