The City of Patrickston, or just Patrickston is the Capital and 2nd largest City in the Empire of Meritia. The city is located in the Northern Region of the country and lies within the borders of the Capital Administrative District, a special subdivision of Meritia created to host the national capital. It was originally established on the 3 March 2021 as capital of Northio. After the dissolution of Northio and creation of Meritia, the new nation inherited the city from Northio and established it as the Capital of the new country. The 2023 census has recorded that the city currently has 7 Residents, making it slightly smaller than Congrad in terms of population, however both are relatively similar in land area.
History
Originally consisting of parts of two separate land parcels, the city was merely a patch of forest until its development in 2012. The national capital building, used currently by Meritia for a variety of purposes, was the first and only organized building to become a part of the city, and for over a decade has consistently switched ownership and purpose, with various attempts to renovate it, such as carpet being added in the late 2010s, along with steps that led up to its doorway, made from leftover stone bricks. A roadway, today known as Patrickston Route 1, has been in place in the area since the 2010s as well, and is regularly maintained and used by the DOT of Meritia. In 2022, a long-destroyed window on the left side of the building, temporarily covered by plastic, was finally repaired by Meritia, with further plans to continue the repair of the decade old building being announced soon after by Emperor Joseph I.
