The Order of the Redwood Throne is an order of chivalry in the nation of the Reino de Cordova. It was created on 27 August 2003 as the Order of the Redwood. It served as the second highest honor in Cordova from its creation until 7 March 2021, when it was revamped as the Order of the Redwood Throne and elevated to the nation's highest honor.

The order has three classes:

  • Dame/Knight Grand Cross, which is denoted by the wear of the sash, cordon, and breast star of the order .
  • Dame/Knight Commander, which is denoted by the wear of the medal of the order worn on a neck ribbon or brooch-style ribbon.
  • Dame/Knight, which is denoted by the wear the medal of the order, suspended from a brown drape ribbon.

The order was conceived as a way to recognize excellence in conservation work by then Baron Gilbert. Fifteen pieces of regalia were acquired. Since this initial run was exhausted, no further awards of the order were bestowed until March 2021, despite it still being considered active in that time frame.

On 30 June 2020, Reina Celestina declared her intent to reimagine the honor as the Order of the Redwood Throne, making it the highest honor in Cordova. This revamp was launched on 7 March 2021 with the introduction of two new ranks and new regalia for the order.

Sovereign of the Order

The current Sovereign and font of honor for the order is Reina Celestina, as the reigning monarch of Cordova. While her current rank of Dame Grand Cross officially is equal in precedence with others who hold that rank, her status as Member Ex-Officio gives her functional precedence within the order.
