Ora De Goto'akau, sometimes referred to as Ora, is the capital and largest city of the Republic of New Melanesia.
Governance
Ora De Goto'akau is run by a mayor and a city council. The mayor is elected by direct election by city residents, with the mayor then going on to appoint other city councillors.
National Significance
As capital of the republic, Ora is the home of the central government and national legislature in New Melanesia. It is also the seat for the Presidency and the Prime Ministership. As well as this, it is where the government and cabinet typically meets.
