Noseland
The Anarchist Monarchy of Noseland is a micronation in Switzerland proclaimed by Bruno Schlatter on 1 April 2009. The official inauguration of Noseland took place on 01 April 2009, marking the transition of the land from mere pasture and farmland to a cultural hub. Under the visionary leadership of its founder, Bruno Schlatter, Noseland has embarked on numerous ventures, including exhibitions, land art, international surveying initiatives, urban development projects like "Building New Aarau," and international travel and resort endeavors. With its founder, King Bruno the first and last, at the helm, Noseland is not just a micronation but a living artwork. Through a myriad of cultural events and artistic expressions, Noseland embodies a philosophy of unity and creativity, attracting both local and international attention. As Noseland enters its second decade, King Bruno I aims to "decelerate" the frequency of exhibitions and events while continuing to support the arts through initiatives such as an annual art prize and inviting select artists for residency programs.
