Al-Amin, officially the Administrative Region of Al-Amin, (formerly Northeastern Ondernaming), is an administrative region within the Mainland Province, Olov. It is situated in the northeastern of Andramin, Mainland province, Olov. It was officially established on 7 March, 2023, Al-Amin is a former part of the administrative region of Andramin, since the concluding of the insurgency in Andramin.
History
Formation of Northeastern Ondernaming
On 7 March 2023, two days after the conclusion of the Ondernaming insurgency, a deliberation took place between Olovian President Saleh A.H. and Muhammad Farhan, accompanied by the local government of northeastern Ondernaming. The discussions focused on the proposed formation of the administrative region of Northeastern Ondernaming. Saleh A.H. successfully established the administrative region, separating it from Ondernaming.
Post-formation (2023-present)
Following the formation, Al-Amin became a key center for the Olovian National Military (O.N.M), serving as a strategic center for military exercises, and pyrotechnic testing sites.
During the 2023 Ondernaming civil conflict, two Olovian military squads (Northeastern Ondernaming squad I/Cakrama, and Northeastern-Ondernaming squad II/Yudis) were formed based in an outpost in Al-Amin region. Both squads were formed by Saleh A.H, Lt. Muhammad Farhan, Sgt. Yudis, and Lt. Ucok T.
In the ongoing Ojan Crisis, the administration of the region has faced criticism, leading to increased tensions between local groups, largely aligned with Phojam, and the Olovian government headed by Saleh A.H., the region has become a site of multiple altercations amid the escalating conflict.
Culture
Culture in Al-Amin is based on the rich Indonesian cultural elements, with several modern influences.
Language
Bahasa Indonesia serves as the primary language spoken in Al-Amin, with English being widely used, particularly in some Olovian military barracks and among the soldiers.
Religion
Al-Amin is predominantly Muslim, with one Musalla built by Indonesian locals before the formation, in the Al-Amin area, named after the Musalla. Christians, mostly Protestants, and other minorities have also lived along with the local Muslims within the region.
