The North Creek Expedition was a military conflict that occurred on 20 June 2020 after the Wamongian military invaded the United States of America in an attempt to capture and secure access to the North Creek. The conflict began after Wamongian citizens demanded that the Wamongian government seize control of the creek in order to prevent internal upheaval due to the stagnation that was going in the country at the time. The conflict ended with a Wamongian victory, as the creek was taken with little resistance, though the Wamongian forces suffered losses as a result. The creek remains in control of the Wamongian government to this day.

Background

At the time, Wamong was suffering from economic stagnation and social upheaval that threatened the nation's existence. Harold was at this time attempting to preserve his Christian utopia and save it from falling into the hands of the Demons he so hated, which was something he could not allow. Thus, he devised a plan to prevent any chaos and ensure he could preserve his utopian goals that God had assigned him. He met with his sister, Ezzy Duighan, who was a Commander in his military, and they prepared to set up an expedition to capture territory that would gain them access to the North Creek, which was a body of water north of Potatia in Wamong. Thus, they began their quest to head there.

Expedition

Wamongian Invasion

On 20 June 2020 at around noon, Wamongian forces crossed the border with the United States and began marching through the woods. They moved at a slow but steady pace and quickly began to move closer to the creek. They eventually reached it, and encountered their first amount of resistance. It was an old man who asked what they were doing there. He sat on the bridge that went over the creek. This led to an exchange of words before the man suddenly disappeared into the woods. Ezzy Duighan eventually suggested that they should try to gain control of the bridge.

Further incursions

The Wamongian military eventually began to make attempts to reach the bridge, but were quickly bogged down. Ezzy Duighan eventually fell into the creek, and Harold Duighan had to try and drag her out of the creek, and eventually fell into it himself. The two quickly began making further incursions eventually, but were stopped after Ezzy Duighan eventually got stuck in the woods and tripped, injuring her legs. They continued forward, however, and eventually managed to reach a mysterious house in a field. They quickly realized they were moving in the wrong direction, and retreated back to where they were near the creek. Ezzy Duighan, angered at how they were now stuck, became enraged, and threatened to beat Harold with a stick if they became stuck in the woods.

Returning to Wamong

Wamongian forces moved South to attempt to return to Wamong, as despite them never reaching the bridge, and never finding the old man, who had now gone missing, they had still secured access to the North Creek. They continued to be bogged down, and Ezzy Duighan eventually became extremely sick to the point that she nearly vomited, and fell over several times, and Harold himself had become tired. They eventually managed to return home to Wamong, and finally headed to Edenville.

Aftermath

In the eventual aftermath, the creek was secure, and the country was saved from internal strife and from the grasps of the horrid Demons that Harold feared would take over the country. The creek is still under the control of the Wamongian government to this day.
