Noble

In general, a Noble should be differentiated from a commoner as somebody who has rank and title granted to them either by their government or by Birthright. Various nations have different ways of creating and managing nobles and their titles.

Nobility in Austenasia

The system of nobility in the Empire of Austenasia follows a basic hierarchy. Although not strictly a noble, for all intents and purposes the Emperor is at the top of the hierachy, ruling over the entire Empire. The Empire is split into Regions, each with an Archduke/Archduchess. Each Region is made up of Duchies, each with a Duke/Duchess. Every Duchy is comprised of Provinces, each with a Count/Countess. Every Province is made up of Towns, each with a Baron/Baroness. Titles of Nobility are hereditary, except in the case of Archdukes, where if the title passes out of the Imperial Family it will be reappointed to an Imperial.

Nobility in Cheslovia

There are currently two registered people in the Cheslovian Federation with nobility. During the Principality of Kaznia, Iigon Dzyozhov was made the Baron of Stettin and Samuel Lovato was made the Duke of Muskovia. During the 1st November reforms of 2008, their nobility was not altered, and to this day they are still officially registered as Cheslovian nobles. The government has no interest in taking away their nobility.

Nobility in New Europe

In New Europe nobility does not play any major roles in the society. Nobles are entitled to lands that their families have owned for more than 50 years. Nobles cannot use any pre-existing titles as a claim to lands or wealth in New Europe.

Title's of Pretendence are at all times respected but cannot be used as means of claiming any New European Imperial rights. Nobles, and other royals do not have any say in the federal government unless democratically elected to an office that they have such power.

Only the Kaiser, and Crown Prince, can make statements and commit acts in the name of New Europe, its people, and its government. No other member of the ruling house can at anytime unless charged with a duty that requires them to do so by the Kaiser.

Titles in New Europe can be created, but they can only be aproved by the Kaiser, and can be requested to the Kaiserin (Empress).

Nobility in Shireroth

Nobility in Shireroth follows a basic hierarchy. At the top of this is the Kaiser, the sovereign of the land who is considered the highest Noble. Directly below him are Dukes. The Barons are on the next tier and at the lowest level of nobility are the Counts.

Dukes and Barons have the privilege of voting in the Landsraad. Each level also has an increasingly smaller subdivision over which they rule.

Under Old Feudalism, higher Nobles selected lower nobles. Under New Feudalism, groups of Counts band together and select one to represent them, that one becoming a Baron.
