New European Imperial Constitutional Court
The Imperial Constitutional Court of the Empire of New Europe is a high court which is empowered to rule on whether or not certain laws or imperial decrees are in fact contrary to the Constitution of New Europe. Its objective is only to protect the Constitution and deal with a few kinds of disputes where it has original jurisdiction, whereas the highest appellate court is the Supreme Court of the Empire of New Europe.
Composition
The Imperial Constitutional Court consists of 9 judges, one being the chairman and another one being deputy chairman. Judges are appointed by the Emperor of New Europe with the consent of Imperial Council. In order to become a judge of the Constitutional Court a person must be citizen of New Europe, attain the age of 25, have legal education, have length of service as a lawyer at least 5 years or have a recognized high qualifications in law.
