The King is the monarch and head of state of the Empire of Kanindé, The Executive Power is exercised by the King himself with the help of the Crown Council and the Prime Minister representing the legislature and its houses, the National Assembly and the Legislative Assembly, both with political representation in the Empire divided into electoral colleges for each state in the country.

Powers provided for by the constitution

The Constitution of the Empire of Kanindé begins with some articles that establish the role of His Majesty the Emperor, with the following articles as clear examples:

Article II - The principle of government is a hereditary and constitutional monarchy. The Empire is a rule of law, committed to fundamental freedoms and rights.

Article III - Executive power is exercised by the highest authority of the King. The King's personality is inviolable.

Article X - The King can exercise his sovereign powers if he reaches the fixed age of 16. During the Emperor's adolescence or in the event of the King's impediment to the exercise of his functions, the organization and conditions for exercising the Regency are provided for in the Laws of the House of the Sovereign Family.

Article XI - The King exercises his sovereign authority in full compliance with the provisions of the Constitution and the laws.

Article XIII - The King represents the Empire in its relations with foreign Powers.

Article XIV - After consulting the Crown Council, the King signs and ratifies treaties and an international convention. He acquaints them with the National Assembly through the Minister of State before its ratification.
