The Peoples Republic of Tungristan (Ikhsen: تانگوستان خەلق جۇمھۇرىيىتى; Turkish: Tunğristan Halk Cumhuriyeti), was a micronation located in Central Turkey and as formed in 1999 after the 2 year long Tunceli Revolution, a coup to overthrow Sultan Mahmud II and replace him with Ibrahim Istanğlu. It was abolished after the Tunceli Insurgency in 2022.
