The Monarchdom of Mirrland, more commonly known as Mirrland, is a micronation in the Tees Valley, in England. The country was founded on the 29th of July, 2021.
It is run by the monarch, and laws are made by them, through public suggestion. If a law is popular amongst the public, a vote will take place, whether to add the law or not.
Mirrland is a current applicant to the League of Independent Nations, which it has a good relation with. It only does trade with states associated with the LIN.
Etymology
The name was invented by Monarch Cas for no particular reason, most likely as "Mirr-" sounds Dutch, and Monarch Cas has Dutch ancestry.
History
It was founded on the 29th of July, 2021 as Monarch Cas was unhappy with certain Northumbrian laws, and pushed them out of the Tees Valley.
Politics and government
The monarch will take in suggestions for laws from the public, and if a certain suggestion is popular amongst citizens, then the monarch will hold an online vote whether to introduce the new law or not. The monarch has a very inclusive system, including harsh punishments for any discrimination. If the monarch is for whatever reason absent, then the vice-monarch will take the role until further notice. The monarch must live as though they are a normal citizen.
Law and order
There are very harsh punishments against discrimination (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc). The monarch appoints judges, and although they are harsh, the punishments sentenced are fair for all people, depending on the crime. Often, redemption is allowed once or twice.
Foreign relations
Mirrland only trades with states associated with the League of Independent Nations. The Kingdom of Northumbria previously claimed the Tees Valley, and were pushed out on the 29th of July, 2021. Mirrland currently recognises all LIN associated states.
Military
Mirrland has never had any military relations to anything.
Geography and climate
There are no subdivisions in Mirrland. The average weather, climate and rainfall are unknown, however, they are very similar to the rest of Northern England.
Economy
Imports and exports are only associated with the LIN. If someone is in desperate need of money, then they can apply to earn £400 minimum per month, and in addition, the minimum wage is half £10. The train fares are 50% of those of what they were under British rule.
