The Minister of National Defence was the minister charged with overlooking the Baustralian Armed Forces and Ministry of National Defence. This was short-lived and consequentially, not much is known of the minister, and what they were responsible for. The ministry was headed by the Minister of National Defence, and Commander Baustralian Forces Marshal of His Royal Air Force Lord Carleton.
It was replaced by the Defence Council as the Chief of the Defence Staff, and is purely military.
