The Millian Constitution is the Constitution of the Republic of Millius. The author of the Constitution, Atreus of Millius, started writing the Constitution on the same day that the Declaration of Independence was signed, 7 August 2023, and he finished on 27 October 2023. The document has 6 articles, 25 sections, and 4861 words. The Constitution was ratified on the same day it was finished, 27 October 2023 at 5:55 AM EDT.
History
On 6 August 2023, the day before the Declaration of Independence was signed, the three founders of the Republic of Millius talked about a constituting document. They, after roughly three hours of debating, decided that Atreus could write it, and would start the next day. Over the course of the next three days, the first draft of the Constitution would be written, and finished on 10 August 2023. This draft was deemed "terrible" by Jarod, and Atreus started to rewrite the document. They asked for help from their co-founders of the nation, and was denied[a].
The second draft was finished 21 days later, on 31 August 2023, and was proposed to the co-founders of the nation. This draft was also denied, with both Jarod and M having comments such as "not specific enough"[b] and "not very good."[c] Atreus, after rereading their creation, agreed, and started rewriting the document.
Over the next five days, the third draft was written. Jarod and M, getting tired of bad drafts, started to argue with Atreus. They said that they didn't think Atreus could handle such a complicated task, Atreus disagreed. They were given one more chance to write a "somewhat decent"[d] document.
The fourth draft, which was finished on 27 October 2023, a staggering 78 days after the first draft was finished, was the most in-depth version of the Constitution yet. Jarod and M, upon reading it, quickly agreed to ratify it. The document was officially ratified as the Millian Constitution on 27 October 2023 at 5:55 EDT.
The First Amendment to the Constitution made some big changes. It adds 2 articles, 6 sections, and 838 words. This brings the document to a total of 6 articles, 25 sections, and 4861 words. The First Amendment will take effect on 1 January 2023.
