The Marston Commune, commonly known as Marston and initially established as The Kingdom of Marston, is a small peace-loving nation that claims multiple territories. The most notable territory of Marston is the capital city, known by British neighbours as Marsden Rock. It is a rock formation formerly located in Tyne and Wear, North East England and it stands proudly as the capital of Marston. The capital city comprises a 100 feet (30 meters) sea stack, which lies approximately 100 yards (91 metres) off the English coast. On the night of the 13th of May 2019, whilst the people of England slept, a group of explorers quietly seceded from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and laid claim to the entity formerly known as Marsden Rock, officially establishing the sovereign land of Marston. Later, a small group of rocky islands off the Roker coast were also claimed under the flag of Marston and renamed the Farrock Islands.

The nation later formalised their sovereignty through discussions with representatives of the British crown via The National Trust. Then, in late 2019, Niamh of Marston who had up until that point been styling herself as an Admiral revolted against herself, seized the means of production, and established the Marston Commune to govern the nation.
