The Mad Carroter (c. 2009), (Ridgelantic: Geekik Vortelloner), is a Ridgelantic terrorist known for throwing carrots at multiple Ridgelantic government officials. On 16 November 2023, he threw multiple carrots at Ridgelantic President Forest C. F. and Drew Tucker, most of which missed their targets completely. He was eventually tried and convicted of terrorism, and his legacy has left a lasting affect on Ridgelantic politics.

Terrorism and arrest

On 16 November 2023, the Ridgelantic Constitution Day, The Mad Carroter, wearing a pink Post-it note labeled 'IM STADING [sic] ON BUSINESS" and a grey camouflage jacket, encountered Forest C. F. and Drew Tucker having a conversation while walking on an outdoor track in Cramer Colony, Ridgeland. Despite the presence of multiple witnesses, including Dominique R., the Ridgelantic defense minister, he threw two Baby-cut carrots at Forest C. F. from behind, one of which missed and the other of which bounced off his jacket. Immediately, he was questioned Forest C. F., before he eventually threw another carrot at Drew Tucker, resulting in him being chased and apprehended, with the help of nearby physical education teachers[1].

The Carroter was tried by an impromptu jury and found guilty, and sentenced to a restraining order against Forest C. F. and Drew Tucker. After the incident, The Carroter apologized to Forest C. F., but his charges are yet to be lifted.

Legacy

A political satire article by the Tukundy Times parodying the incident, 2024.

On 21 November 2023, the Ridgelantic government redacted all mentions of the Mad Carroter's legal name on Ridgelantic media due to legal concerns involving American-installed Kramerkolonie Authorities[2]. The incident has become a contention point for matters concerning American influence in Ridgeland, along as being the subject of political satire and critique in Ridgeland. The Tukundy Times, the party newspaper for the Ridgelantic Democratic Opposition, parodied the event in a political satire article[3] by trivializing the event.
