The Lord Chancellor of Wellmoore, formally the Lord High Chancellor of Wellmoore is the highest-ranking Great Officer of State in Wellmoore, nominally outranking the Prime Minister of Wellmoore. The Lord Chancellor is appointed by the Sovereign on the advice of the Prime Minister.
The Lord Chancellor is a member of the Cabinet and, by law, is responsible for the efficient functioning and independence of the courts, in accordance with the Wellmoorean Ministry of Justice.
