A Lieutenant (Lt) is a commissioned officer rank in the Royal Blazdonian Army. Lieutenants are junior officers who hold the rank above Second Lieutenant and below Captain.

Responsibilities

Lieutenants are entrusted with greater responsibilities and leadership roles within the Army. Some of the responsibilities of a Lieutenant may include:

  • Leading platoons or specialized units.
  • Planning and executing military operations.
  • Supervising and training personnel.
  • Making tactical decisions in the field.
  • Assisting higher-ranking officers in their duties.

Rank Insignia and Uniform

Lieutenants wear rank insignia on their shoulder boards or epaulettes. Lieutenants also wear a distinctive uniform denoting their officer rank.

Promotion and Career Progression

Promotion from Second Lieutenant to Lieutenant is based on successful completion of required training, experience, and performance evaluations.
