The Libertarian Communist Party, or LCP, is a far-left libertarian socialist political party within the Autonomous Socialist Republic of Griffasus, and was the first party founded in the nation. It currently holds 1 seat in the legislature.
Organization
The LCP is a decentralized organization. The group officially has no single leader. Organizational matters are decided collectively by members of the party.
Ideology
LCP ideology reflects libertarian communism, along with other forms of anarchism, green socialism, feminism, libertarian municipalism and general anti-capitalism and anti-discrimination. The LCP aligns itself with the wider alter-globalization, anti-neoliberal social movement, seeking local, common ownership over local resources, especially land. The LCP also opposes economic globalization, arguing that it severely and negatively affects the lives of workers, and oppresses people worldwide.
Another key element of the LCP's ideology is their aspiration to do politics in a new, participatory way, from the "bottom up" instead of "top down". The LCP considers the contemporary political system of the United States inherently flawed due to what they consider its purely representative nature and its disconnection from the people and their needs. In contrast, the LCP aims to reinforce the idea of participatory democracy or radical democracy by limiting public servants' terms to only two months, not using visible organization leaders, and constantly referring to the people they are governing for major decisions, strategies, and conceptual visions.
