The Liberal Party (also known simply as "the Liberals" is a Centrist political party in the Sonoran Confederation. The Party emulates the Democratic Party of the United States in its ideology and status. It was founded on January 2, 2018 as an alternative to the socialist Popular Patriotic Front (now the Socialist Party) and the conservative Sonoran National Party. It held a very close alliance with the socialist Sonoran Patriotic Party (later the Communist Party) before it was banned and absorbed by the Communists in September 2018. It was reestablished after the re-democratization of the country.
Platform
The Party is very much a Third way progressive party following the United States Democratic Party's ideals. It is socially liberal and fiscally conservative and advocates for environmental protection. It opposes racist and fascist policy and fights against unregulated corporate policy.
