The Leschi National Rivershore was a region of the Commonwealth of Faltree, located within the U.S. state of Oregon. It was located in the Faltrian city of Charbonneau, within the Province of Wellington, and was officially classified as a national protected area of Faltree. It was established on 29 August 2023 by Logan Medlin, acting as the Faltrian State-Minister of the Environment. The area is now claimed by the Republic of Charbonneau, a successor state of the now-defunct Commonwealth of Faltree that lays claim to the entirety of the former city of Charbonneau.

Etymology

The name 'Leschi' is derived from that of Chief Leschi, a historically significant chief of the Nisqually Indian Tribe in the state of Washington.

History

The Leschi National Rivershore was established on 29 August 2023 by State-Minister of the Environment Logan Medlin[1] as one of his first acts while holding that office. It was the first national protected area to be established in Faltree. It was chosen for its proximity to the Columbia River and quaint beachhead.

The National Rivershore consists of a wide hill that is risen up over a small beach. Cliffs of basalt overlook the river and beach, and offer a pleasant view of the neighboring boroughs of the State of Avon and the surrounding landscape.

Weather

The Leschi National Rivershore experiences intense dryness in the summer season, and a considerably wetter and colder climate during the winter. Temperatures average at around 83.5° F (28.6° C) during the summer, and at around 35.3° F (-.08° C) during the winter. It is notably windy year-round, though the beach is somewhat sheltered from the gusts by the surrounding cliffs.
