The Borough of Lebriska, colloquially known as Lebriska, is the county town of Briskshire and the largest town in the Duchy of Zortika. The town is a former industrial powerhouse and remnants of this can still be observed in its historic port. Now the town is largely a service economy as a retail, leisure and cultural hub, however it has recently seen increased investment from the technology and science sectors with international firms moving to the town. It is home to the main campus of the relatively prestigious University of Briskshire.
History
Lebriska is located to the south of the Malvernion Downs range of hills. It is generally considered to be one of the most historic towns in Nolland and the vast majority of its development predates its annexation by the Knollish military in 2012, including most of its suburban areas. The large Tsar Thomas Way estate, however, began construction on the city's eastern greenbelt in early 2018 as part of the town's Joint Core Strategy (JCS) to improve local housing and amenities. This will see the construction of 500 new homes, two new schools, a new hospital and a new industrial complex.
Administration
Lebriska is adminstered by Lebriska Borough Council which operates as a unitary authority. The city elects one representative to the Nollandish Congress, the incumbent being Dan Moore of the Nollandish Citizens and Consumer Alliance.
