"La découverte" (English: "The discovery") is the national anthem of the Kingdom of Hailikia. The lyrics directly describes about the discovery of the island of Nuve. The tune originated from "Nocturne in E-flat major, Op. 9, No. 2", a classical piece by Frédéric Chopin.

Because of its short length, the song is officially played two times.

"La découverte" was regconised by the Hailikian Royal Choir for ceremonial uses. Later on, King Frédérick II declared it the national anthem of Hailikia in 23 February 1867.

Before the adaption as the national anthem, there are several songs which served as a de facto anthem: "La coroni sovanttout," "Fiers et patriotike" and "Regne vers la gloria".

Les mars,

nos navi.

Attraver les nellards,

Isol tachteh's.

Metter le nos bandipeaux.

Les mers,

nos navires.

A travers les brouillards

Îles tachetées.

Mettre nos drapeaux,

Dieu est venu;

Qui nous a aidés pour notre joie.

I mari,

le nostre navi.

Attraverso le nebbie

Isole macchiate.

Mettere le nostre bandiere,

Venne dio;

Chi ci ha aiutato per la nostra gioia.

The seas,

our ships.

Through the fogs, spotted islands.

Putting our flags,
Came god;

Who helped us for our joy.

Began,

The advancement.

We formed a civilization;

For all.

Then sang to God's ear,

And then our king who,

Rules forever!

As the cyan and red-
banner still wave over our

Dear home,

We rejoice for joy;

For our fatherland and

Our country.

If in battle,

Hailikia would always be

Firm, like the fields.

Oh dear Fatherland,

with proud history,

We fight back!
