The League of Neutral States (abbr. LONS), is a intermicronational alliance to defend sovereignty, trade, and to protect the independence and neutrality of member nations.

Criteria for joining and leaving

In order to join the LONS, states have to fulfill different criteria, listed below.

In order to join/stay in the LONS, every member nation has to

  • Remain neutral during conflicts/have at least armed, if not diplomatic neutrality
  • Uphold human rights as of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
  • Stand up against authoritarian ideas (like fascism)
  • (if there are any) stop hostilities with other nations, not be under civil unrest

Leaving possibilities

If a state wants to leave the organisation, it just has to declare it officially.

Declaring war

Declaring war on another nation will result in suspension from the league or being kicked out for a some time, at least until the conflict is resolved.
