His Royal Highness King Jamie I of the Land of the Bears is the current monarch of the Land of the Bears.

Jamie was born in Bearlan to his father the Prince Dale. His father was refused the throne by Alan I of the Bears as he was deemed unsuitable. At the time of his birth a regency council headed by King Alan was governing the nation. His birth granted much fanfare as potentially he could be a suitable candidate for the throne when he reached of age, and when that time came King Alan gave up his regency and Jamie was crowned as monarch and king.

As King Jamie ascended to the throne, King Alan declared a new golden age had begun for the kingdom and he was right, King Jamie's policies liberalised the country and helped to keep it alive, elections and democracy were introduced as well as more rights for the peasant class. King Jamie also has further established the land of the bears on a diplomatic scale and going away from the previously isolated country the land of the bears once was.

We shall have to see how he does later on in his reign.
