King James I of Hanover nearly-as-dammit (to paraphrase a once popular journalist) became King James I of Morovia before he ditched the place once it became clear that it was on an artificial respirator. James then gave himself the honour of reigning as this community's first king when he founded the Kingdom of Hanover, meant to be dying Morovia's replacement kingdom. Many of the remaining active Morovians followed and were soon joined by a lot of other people from the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Malaysia, Canada, and heaven only knows where else. James honoured a dear friend by casting her in the role of honorary queen. Queen Anne sat as a quiet "consort" at James' side for the duration of his short reign.
Hanover's first king abdicated after six months when his plan to found a new kingdom prompted the Royal Council of State to advise him to hit the road. He obliged, taking his Queen and Royal Family with him, donning a powdered wig, and restyling himself "King Louis I" of the French ancient regime-inspired Kingdom of Varennes. There he ruled as a Bourbonesque autocrat until he determined to return to Hanover and to surrender his second kingdom to King Alexander (Hanover's third monarch), who became the first ever (and penultimate) King of Hanover and Varennes in 2006
