Hop Godai (Sabian: ħob asovái gódai), better known by his nickname Gocchan or with his formal name Hop Godai Senior, is an Agatonian politician currently serving as the 1st Minister of Defense since 10 August 2024. He also serves as the Chairman of the People's Democratic Godaiist Dictatorship Front since 9 August 2024, with the party's goal being to establish a democratic dictatorship where all the citizens have equal rights and freedoms, but where Hop Godai is the sole and foremost leader of Agatonia. Godai joined the People's Democratic Godaiist Dictatorship Front before the 2024 Prime Minister Elections, where he unfortunately lost, but got the Minister of Defense role in the Agatonian Government.

Godai has been a government member of Agatonia since 9 August 2024, prior to the 2024 Prime Minister Elections. When he lost the elections, he was nominated as the Minister of Defense by President Kaito I. He applied for prime minister candidacy, alongside Ainosuke Kumakata and Emperor Bart II. His largest political allies are incumbent prime minister Mūta Ushiyori, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ainosuke Kumakata and President Kaito I, while his largest political rival is Ursus Minibii, who opposes the Ushiyori cabinet.

He is the only Agatonian government member who has the goal to establish a dictatorship where he has all the power, but he would like that his citizens have equal rights and freedoms. He is one of the tiniest government members alongside Ursus Minibii, who is the tiniest government member of Agatonia. He aligns himself with the People's Democratic Godaiist Dictatorship Front, being a member of the House of Representatives.

Early and personal life

Godai is a native Agatonian of Kangaroovillian origin. He has one sibling named Hop Godai Junior and moved to Kangarooville shortly after his arrival at Agatonia. His caretaker is incumbent prime minister Mūta Ushiyori. He already took care for Godai since his arrival at Agatonia. His largest political rival is Ursus Minibii, the incumbent Leader of the Opposition.

He also has a few friends, namely Hiyoko Hinakata, Ford Shirokuma Senior, Ford Shirokuma Junior, Ursus Arctos Minibii and Leon Savarin, who are all applicants for being Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of Agatonia.

Political career

Prime minister candidacy and Minister of Defense

Godai had applied for prime minister candidacy prior to the 2024 Prime Minister Elections that were won by Mūta Ushiyori and his political party GreatGreenGoal. He represented the People's Democratic Godaiist Dictatorship Front. After he was unfortunately unelected as prime minister of the Commonwealth of Agatonia, he was unanimously promoted as the Minister of Defense the day after the 2024 Prime Minister Elections.

1st session of Parliament, 2nd government

Incumbent prime minister Mūta Ushiyori confirmed the 2nd government in an inaugural session of the 1st Parliament held on 16 October 2024. He did not give a speech to the Parliament, but he was glad to be at the inaugural session of the 1st Parliament held that day. He represented the People's Democratic Godaiist Dictatorship Front, supporting the Ushiyori cabinet. He was from then the only Godaiist politican and the only Godai family representative to the Agatonian Government.

High Commonwealth Council membership

Godai is along one of the six current plush toy members of the High Commonwealth Council. The High Commonwealth Council mostly consists of plush toys, but there are also human members to maintain control over the legislature. He is a member of the House of Representatives and serves as the single and foremost representative for the People's Democratic Godaiist Dictatorship Front. Godai's goal is to establish a democratic dictatorship where all the citizens have equal rights and freedoms, but where Hop Godai is the sole and foremost leader of Agatonia.
