Hero of the Frondesian Federation, unofficially known as Hero of Frondesia or Hero of the Federation, is the highest honour and honorary title of the Frondesian Federation. The title comes with a gold star medal which can be used as an insignia to identify recipients.

The title is awarded for "extraordinary actions or deeds of conspicuous bravery in service of the state". The title is granted by the President of Frondesia via decree and Frondesian citizenship is not a requirement for receiving the award.

History

The Hero of Frondesia title is the oldest honorary title in Frondesia. It was de-facto established on 25 August 2023, but wasn't officially established until 28 August 2023. The title was officially established by Decree of the President 2 - the second presidential decree passed by Oswald Hastings. The decree established the Hero of the Federation title alongside the Hero of Labour title.

Description

The insignia of the title of "Hero of the Frondesian Federation" is also called the "Gold Star" medal.

It consists of a five-pointed golden star. The insignia is secured to a standard Frondesian square mount by a ring through the suspension loop. The mount is covered by a silk moiré tricolour ribbon of white, green and red.

The insignia of Hero of the Frondesian Federation is worn on the left side of the chest above all other medals and decorations. It is always worn in full size; there is no ribbon bar or rosette that can be worn in place of the medal.

Statute

The title of Hero of the Frondesian Federation can be awarded for a heroic deed in the service of the state. It can be awarded to both civilian and military personnel. The title can also be awarded posthumously if the heroic act costs the recipient his or her life. The President of the Frondesian Federation is the main conferring authority of the award, however with the president's authorisation other bodies may present the honour on the president's behalf.
