Heregovania
Kingdom of Heregovania was a micronation that declared independence from the city of Longmont, Colorado, on January 26, 2022. As stated, the nation borders the state of Colorado. It’s national borders include a few areas of Longmont, Colorado, but also claims area in Niwot, Colorado. However, while the country did declare independence, it had to go through a war with Colorado to secure it’s independence, and Heregovania was supported by Niwot and Boulder, and successfully won, securing it’s independence and being recognized as a micronation.

Backstory
Ever since Bryan Martinez, former citizen and future founder of Heregovania, Colorado had begun a decline. Bryan had left the state for 6 years, and after returning, he was caught up on what happened by his friends, and decided to help revive Colorado, but not by becoming governor, but by creating his own nation.
Declaration and the War of Independence
Bryan Martinez, with help from his friends, signed the Heregovanian Declaration of Independence, and the micronation of Heregovania was born. At first, the nation’s government wasn’t established, as Jarred Pollis, the governor of Colorado, figured out what was going on, and declared war on Bryan, beginning the Heregovanian War of Independence.
Aftermath and Government establishment
The war lasted 5 days, after a devastating blow to Colorado at the Battle of Roosevelt Park, and Bryan came out victorious, securing the independence, and the absolute monarchy was established in the nation, officially becoming the Kingdom of Heregovania.
Rise of opposition and beginning
An opposing party, named the Hersevania Party, with it’s leader, Leonardo Marcomerdo, fled the nation into self exile in Colorado. He is beginning to set up plans to begin a revolution and overthrow Bryan and set up a dictatorship, with himself at it’s center, but it will take a while for him to get supporters to help with the revolution. Eventually, he achieves that revolution, but is quickly ended and the Heregovanian Civil War begins.
Decline, defeat, and dissolution
As the war continued, Bryan realized that he was possibly unable to defeat Hersevania, and fled to Niwot High, right as Leonardo and his army surrounded the area, and began a seige. Bryan later learned that Niwot Elementary was captured, and it’s students were trapped, so he escaped Niwot High, aware of the consequences that will face. Two days later, Niwot High fell. Bryan traveled to Niwot Elementary, and faced 3 battles to enter, and successfully rescued the kids trapped. He helped them escape, and himself also fled the nation, essentially dissolving Heregovania, and allowing Hersevania to win, and take over Heregovania.
