Gwladcoed Army
The Gwladcoed Army is the main fighting force and the senior service of the Gwladcoeden Security Forces. It consists of the Gwladcoeden Regiment as its main infantry body. The aim of the Gwladcoeden Army is to defend the country and her allies from any invading military threat, althought it may assist the Civil Defence Corps and Constabulary in completing tasks should the need arise.
The Army is lead by the Colonel of the Security forces however the Pendraig holds the ceremonial title of Commander-in-Chief, at which, in the army, is ranked as a Brigadier.
During peacetime the Gwladcoed army, with the exception of staff officers, has no full-time staff and is made up of purely voluntary reservists. There is no conscription in Gwladcoeden as it is constitutionally banned.

Officers
Officers in the Gwladcoeden Army consist of all members who hold the Pendraig's commission. There are three grades of officers, from most senior to least senior - Field Grade, Company Grade and Officer Cadets. Officers typically hold administrative and leadership roles, although some qualifications and roles - such as doctors and chaplains - are always held by officers.

Other Ranks
The other ranks of the Gwladcoeden Army consists of all members who do not hold the Pendraig's commission. The Other Ranks are split into three categories from most to least senior - Warrant Officers (WOs), Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and the Rank and File. Warrant Officers typically hold chief leadership appointments and administrative roles (Such as Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) or Quartermaster Sergeant), NCOs consists of the Gorporal, Rhingyll and Rhingyll Lliw ranks and are responsible for the day-to-day leadership, discipline and welfare of the lower ranks. The Rank and File consists of the Preifat and Is-gorporal ranks and make up a bulk of the army's members, usually serving as foot soldiers, although some may take part in in trades if part of a specialized Corps.
