Naprzódsk, formally the Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk, commonly known as the Kingdom of Naprzódsk or the GKN, is an unrecognized monarchist micronation that resides within the continental United States, specifically the state of Wisconsin. The GKN is bordered entirely by the United States of America on all sides, and is completely landlocked. The GKN consists of four provinces, and one federal district. It is among one of the larger micronations, with just over 128 acres of legally acquired and partially colonized land claims. It is, however, among the least populous micronations, with around 20 citizens as of the August 2022 census. The national capital and economic center is Dzielnica Valen, and the financial and military center is Powiat Bołchidów.

Etymology
The name "Naprzódsk" originates from the word for "forward" in the Polish language, which is Naprzód. The suffix "sk" means "motherland" in the Napranian language, so, in essence, the word Naprzódsk means "forward for/to the motherland." The full phrase "Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk" has its first documented use around August 2020 during the outbreak of the international Covid-19 pandemic, when the Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk was brought into existence. The reasoning behind the usage of the Polish word Naprzód is the culturally Polish-Jewish origins and heritage of the GKN, which can historically be dated back to the 11th century CE, in Western Slavic land that is now territory belonging to Poland.
History
Royal History
The origins of the Napranian Royal Family as it is known today date as far back as 1028 CE, and the birth of William the Bastard, who would later be popularly known as William the Conquerer. William was born an illegitimate child to father Duke Robert I of Normandy, and mother Herleve, the daughter of a tanner in Falaise. William would go on to conquer the Kingdom of England later in life, over a dispute as to who would be the rightful heir to the throne of England, and his lineage continues all the way into the modern English monarchy, the House of Windsor, with millions around the world distantly related to him as well.
Using modern genetics combined with the records kept by the Royal Family throughout the centuries, it has been proven that the Royal Family are direct descendants of William the Conquerer, most likely through an illegitimate child or grandchild. The genetic lineage of the Norman royalty would be carried into the English Maltby family through marriage, and then be carried into the current ruling family through marriage after that.
Unfortunately, however, there is little known information about the GKN's Polish-Jewish cultural roots aside from certain dates and members within the royal family, on account of the destruction of information undertaken by the Nazis during their invasion and annexation of Poland in World War Two, and the subsequent tyranny that ensued.
Conflicts
The GDN has seen much conflict in its history, and more within the royal family even before its foundation. The Napranian royal family has fought in many wars throughout its history, with some more recent ones including the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the American Civil War, the Mexican-American Wars, the Spanish-American War, World War One, World War Two, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War, and the Global War on Terror, including the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, with the Napranian Armed Forces itself seeing physical deployments only twice. Once to Vietnam in 1969, and once to Wisconsin during the Napranian Border Crisis in 2021, with only the former seeing the use of armed combat. There was also a single instance in which the Napranian Armed Forces attempted cyber-espionage against the former Socialist Republic of Almendria and the Orange Fascists as part of the Nexan War, partially assisting in inciting the creation of the Empire of Almendria.
Conflicts that the Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk has been involved in as a micronation, both directly and indirectly, include the First War on Communism, the Almendrian Civil War (to some extent), the Nexan War, the 2021 Napranian Border Crisis, and the ongoing Blood Petal Cold War between the Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk and the American neo-Nazi terrorist organization Atomwaffen, which began following the announcement of Napranian Royal Defense Corps Operation: Blood Petal.
Kingdom of Maltby
The Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk in its earliest form existed under the name of the Kingdom of Maltby, with the capital city being called Lintshire. The Kingdom of Maltby was named for the micronation's first monarch, King John Maltby III, who founded the micronation at the age of 18 on 25 August 1968. The Kingdom of Maltby was founded well before the concept of the micronation was pioneered by the Principality of Sealand and the Republic of Molossia, and as such the term was not originally used to describe it.
At its peak, the Kingdom of Maltby is known to have had at least 50 citizens, some 23 of whom were enlisted in the Maltan Royal Army. Almost immediately after its foundation, the Kingdom of Maltby sent a declaration of war to communist North Vietnam on 28 December 1968, officially joining the Vietnam War against the communists. The Maltan Royal Army was quickly mobilized, and in 1969 King John Maltby III led the Maltan Royal Army in their first combat deployment to Vietnam, integrating them into the United States Army. All 23 service members, including King John III, would begin fighting the Vietnamese communists in armed combat in 1971, taking part in multiple missions across Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. A cease-fire was declared by King John III in 1974, after nearly 4 years of fighting, and all remaining Maltan troops were withdrawn from Vietnamese territory with the US Armed Forces.
After the Maltan defeat in Vietnam, along with the devastating cost of over half of the Kingdom of Maltby's army and several critical wounds to King John III, Maltan morale and national pride was withering, and a vote was held that would culminate in the dissolution of the Kingdom of Maltby entirely only two months after the cease-fire between the Kingdom of Maltby and communist Vietnam.
The Kingdom of Maltby was reestablished unofficially on 17 September 2017 by Michał II Dawidziak, the son of King John III's eldest daughter, who took the title of King. It is unknown how many citizens were in the Kingdom of Maltby during the current Grand Duke's reign, as very little documentation of it still exists due to a massive flood that resulted in a significant amount of the Royal Family's property, including over half of the micronation's documentation before 2018, being damaged or destroyed.
Reformation
On 25 August 2020, the first Napranian monarch, Michał II Dawidziak, ascended to the throne, bringing a new era for the former Kingdom of Maltby, and creating the Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk as a progressive Directionist monarchy, with the House of Dawidziak officially replacing the House of Maltby as the ruling Royal Family. As part of this reformation, Grand Duke Michał II Dawidziak relinquished the title of King of Maltby in favor of Grand Duke of Naprzódsk.
The Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk in its modern form exists to this day, now prominently more Polish in culture than English, primarily due to the shift in Royal Families. The Maltan Army was re-armed in 2021, however known now as the Napranian Royal Defense Corps. Some remnants of the Kingdom of Maltby still exist within the Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk, such as the Maltan Infantry, a select group of nobles recruited for service in the Napranian Special Operations Detachment who specialize in woodland warfare. Another remnant is that of the Maltan Arms, which can be seen as a diagonal red band on the Greater Arms of the Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk.
Elevation to Kingdom
The former Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk was elevated to the current status of Kingdom on 22 May 2023, in order to more effectively consolidate royal titles, as well as economic and financial needs. The former Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk, now the Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk, still retains the same primary base and system of government, and the same free market capitalist economy as it did when the Grand Duchy was founded on 25 August 2020.
Politics and government
The Graeater Kingdom of Naprzódsk is a semi-constitutional monarchy with three branches of government, which include the Royal Court (legislative), the High Judiciary (judicial), and the Royal House (executive). The Royal Court consists of the King or Queen, and the Duke or Duchess of each province along with one elected representative, also for each province. The only province that does not have representation is the federal district and capital of Valen, which is entirely under the jurisdiction of the royal family.
The GKN is ruled under a one-party system, with that party being the Directional Monarchist Party, in order to avoid infighting and lessen the potential for the outbreak of a civil conflict, in accordance with the Constitution of the Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk. However, freedom of speech, peaceful organization, and freedom of religion are highly prioritized as values within the GKN, and as such the populace is allowed, even encouraged, to criticize the government and officials, so long as they do not cause physical harm to people or property.
Foreign relations
The Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk has historically maintained fairly neutral overall relations with other micronations and macronations, but has been involved in several micronational conflicts in the past, as well as several micronational organizations.
The GKN is a founding and former member of the Nations Council, and the former head of security of the organization. However, the GKN left after the leaders of several micronations, including Kelilaoria, Socaland (formerly Socialand), and a number of others had come to the conclusion that the chairman had become corrupt.
The GKN recognizes several micronations and the majority of all macronations (with the exceptions of China, North Korea, Russia, and Venezuela), and is allied with several more. The micronations recognized by the GKN, according to the 2022 Foreign Affairs Report, include:

Military
The Kingdom of Maltby maintained an active militia from 1968, upon its foundation, to 1974, upon its dissolution. The former Grand Duchy of Naprzódsk and current Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk, on the other hand, have maintained and still maintain an active military force since 2017, after the reformation decree. The Napranian Royal Defense Corps, or NRDC, is currently an armed defense force consisting of five branches. The Armored Cavalry, the Air Corps (known popularly as the Winged Hussars), the Army, the Special Operations Detachment, and the Napranian Corps of Cadets, each existing with a different specialized purpose and command structure.
The Napranian Royal Defense Corps contains an undisclosed number of troops, with the primary weapon of the Armed Forces being the AK-74M chambered in 5.56x45 NATO cartridges, though one AR-15 and one Mossberg 500 are in service as well as of 2022. The NRDC is one of the many armed forces, recognized or otherwise, who still utilizes the US M81 Woodland pattern, amongst other custom patterns such as NADPAT, or Napranian Disruptive Pattern, and Napranian M22 Woodland, which is often referred to as a combination of Multicam Tropic, CADPAT (Canadian Disruptive Pattern), and Tigerstripe.
The physical NRDC has only seen deployments twice in its existence, but its cybersecurity division within the Special Operations Detachment did see service in the ongoing Nexan War briefly, as King Michał II Dawidziak and several other members of the NRDC became double agents for the Nexan Republic, and engaged in an operation to spark an Almendrian civil war. Eventually, however, the group was exposed by an unknown foreign agent, and was forced to abandon its mission. Overall, what was accomplished partially succeeded in its end goal, by contributing to causing an Almendrian civil war between the Orange Fascists and the Imperialists, which in turn caused a complete split of the Almendrian Discord server temporarily.
Geography and climate
The Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk is bordered by Buffalo Lake to the south, and the American state of Wisconsin on all sides. It resides within a region of the state known as the Great Sands, in the Wisconsin Central Plain region. The region is known for its forests and farmlands, made fertile by massive glacial mineral deposits. These deposits and the region's ancient history also cause the mass formation of several types of granite, which is and was the focus of the industries of many of the region's cities and towns. Additionally, within the GKN lies a small bog as part of a greater wetland system that dots the surrounding landscape and forests.
The Greater Kingdom of Naprzódsk is located within a temperate zone, with much of the area's forests consisting of coniferous trees such as Red Pines, though the invasive Black Locust species of tree has become a large problem, and is slowly taking over many of the GKN's conifer forests along with plentitudes of blackberry and raspberry bushes. In the summer, temperatures can rise as high as 98°F, and in the winter they can drop as low as -3°F, though temperatures are at an average of 86°F in the summer, and 2°F in winter.
