The Governor of State of Kure Atoll is the head of the executive branch of Kure Atoll Government and serves as the commander-in-chief of the state's military forces. The governor has a duty to enforce state laws and the power to either approve or veto appropriation bills passed by the Fox Island Legislature and the power to grant pardons, except in cases of impeachment. He or she is also empowered to reorganize the executive branch of the state government.
