The Government of New Melanesia is the central government of the Republic of New Melanesia. The government is overseen and managed by the Prime Minister of New Melanesia who nominates all other ministers. The prime minister and other ministers in the Council of Ministers are appointed by the President of New Melanesia.
The prime minister and their most senior ministers belong to the supreme decision-making committee, known as the Council of Ministers.

Government in Parliament
The government, by convention, is typically required to maintain confidence in the Assembly of the Republic. The government needs the support of the assembly to pass legislation to send it for Presidential Ascent.
