General of the Armies of the United Federation, more commonly the General of the Armies, is the highest military rank in the United Federation Army. The rank has never been conferred.
The rank is often referred to as a six-star general, being senior to the five-star General of the Army but no rank insignia has officially been created.
History
The rank of General of the Armies was established on 12 May 2023 by order of President Luke Knight.
Special Privileges
Being granted the rank of General of the Armies comes with some special privileges that are carried solely by the rank.
Uniform
Generals of the Armies are permitted to have some creative freedoms to design their own uniforms styled on UF Army dress uniforms that reflect their status as General of the Armies.
Retirement
Generals of the Armies, upon retirement if awarded the rank during their time of service, are given the benefit of retiring with full pay and allowances.
Insignia
No insignia has ever officially been specified for the rank. Generals of the Armies are usually given freedom to wear the rank insignia of a four or five star general but can wear them using gold stars instead of silver ones. Rank holders are also permitted to submit their own designs for a rank insignia and submit it to Congress and the Department of Defence for review.
Appointment
The rank of General of the Armies is appointed by the President with the consent and advice of Congress. However, in some circumstances it can be awarded directly by congress.
