It is the oldest national symbol of Tanaau and was adopted to help foster a sense of national identity and to represent the kingdom.

History

The flag was designed by and adopted by order of Colin I of Tanaau on 29 November 2023. The flag is celebrated yearly in Tanaau on 29 November - which is termed "Flag Day" on the national calendar.

Design

The flag's design consists of a bold yellow saltire, sat atop four triangular segments of light blue and white colouring. The yellow colour represents prosperity, the blue represents freedom, and the white represents peace.
