History
Origins of warfare
As early as January, a group of rebels had formed in Fedonia, due to the discontent caused by the bad governance of former ex Prime Minister David. They started spreading protests and carrying out terrorist acts. When the David government was suppressed by the SSF, the terrorist group was suppressed and forcibly disbanded. However, after weeks, protests have resumed in the nation, due to diplomatic damage with some UEM countries caused by the president Federico Ferrari and by accusations of dictatorship. After another intervention by the SSF, the situation calmed down again. Some weeks later Fedonia decided to annex an area, still not under its control, densely populated by Findukistians. Thus it was that then violent protests arose which the government repressed. On February 26, 2023, the rebels then proclaimed themselves independent and created their own nation, the Republic of Findukistan.
Before the war
The Republic of Fedonia did not recognize the Republic of Findukistan, recognizing them only as a group of separatists. Internal tensions were high and the Fedonian government repressed pro Findukistan demonstrations. At once there were Fedonian and Findukist spy missions among them. After discovering the Findukist spies, the SSF began surreptitiously surveilling the regions of Findukistan. After the espionage and Findukistan joined the IMEU, the Republic of Findukistan declared war on the Republic of Fedonia on 2 February 2023.
The beginning of the war
Findukistan abandoned the IMEU, and the other member nations immediately sided with Fedonia. The war began with terrorist attacks and propaganda. On 3 March, Findukist separatists carried out an attack near the Bucone Sud region, attacking the president and his escort, wounding him in the hand. Most of the fighting during the war took place in Findus Park, the capital of Findukistan and the most disputed territory. On March 4, 2023, the Fedonian army occupied Findus Park, attacking its flag which has been repeatedly detached and reattached due to the continuous clashes. Towards evening Fedonian extremists burned the Findukist flag and shortly thereafter other Findukist extremists blew up the Fedonian flag.
War of the Manfridian Park
The biggest battle of the entire war was on 6 March, the Battle of the Manfridian Park. The Fedonian army had reoccupied Findus Park, but the Findukist army was prepared and drove the Fedonian army back. Thus began a great Findukist advance. The Fedonian army and mercenaries were in front of the Manfridian Park, ready to protect the capital. The Findukist army came to the front and began the offensive. The battle lasted for hours. The Findukist army began shelling the capital and attacking the Fedonian army, which, however, was well trained and repulsed the Findukist attacks. After minutes the Findukistian army ran out of ammunition and continued the fight physically, also using stones, ashes and lemons. The Fedonian army perfectly defended and blocked the Findukist offensive thanks to the walls of the capital. After some hours, however, Findukist supplies arrived, with many new weapons and ammunition. The Findukist army began the second offensive, managing to break through the barrier and enter the Republic Park. The Findukists pushed the Fedonian army back to the seat of the president. However, the Fedonian army with new military supplies managed to violently push the Findukist army towards the border. The Findukistians, cornered, destroyed and looted everything they could, stealing a lot of material, especially military. Fedonia drove the separatists out of the border, and the Findukists fled.
The end of the war
The battles continued, but on a lesser scale. One night the separatists bombed the Republic Park, doing considerable damage. The Fedonian government began working on a peace plan. A peace treaty was written, accepted by Fedonia, and was proposed to Findukistan. The Republic of Findukistan held a popular referendum, and yes won. On March 11, the treaty was signed by both parties. As written in the treaty, Findukistan became a special status region of Fedonia, then part of the Fedonian Republic. Thus ended the war.
The costs of conflict
The conflict was the costliest Fedonia ever faced. In all, the Republic of Fedonia spent more than twenty euros for weapons. In addition to weapons, there are also flags and means of propaganda used during the war. During the Findukist looting of the Manfridian Park, a great deal of ammunition from the Fedonian army was lost, including many stolen by the separatists and many others missing. The army would have collected most of the ammunition that was missing, but there would still be a dozen around, but they are not dangerous if they don't catch fire.
