Factionism, sometimes known as Sovereignism, is a political ideology in which a government is partioned (or factioned) into smaller, semi-sovereign governments.

System

Global Government

The "Global Government' is a political entity that passes laws that effect every factions (Global laws) as well as granting or denying requests for factioning.

Factions

Factions are small geopolitical entities that cover the whole of the country. Factions may form their own government (although they must obey the global laws) and pass laws that affect only their faction. Factions smaller than a square mile are defined as households,.

Sovereigns

Citizens have the right to declare themselves sovereign from their own faction. They must only obey global laws, but cannot settle or live permanently.

Citizens

Citizens are defined as permanent inhabitants of the nation. Citizens, if unsatisfied with their current faction, may lobby for a new faction or declare themselves a sovereign.
