The Empire of New Ruthenia (Interslavic: Imperija Nova Ruthenia), is a micronation in Antarctica. It was founded in 2020. Empire runs official website. Nova Ruthenia is a micronation using the Interslavic language and encouraging friendly relations between Slavic peoples and popularization of its culture.
History
Empire of New Ruthenia
On July 7, 2020 a decree was signed marking the establishment of the Empire of New Ruthenia. Her Majesty Cleopatra I - was the first Imperatorica & Сarica of the Imperija Nova Ruthenia. Its first Emperor is Michael I of Nova Ruthenia of Kurakins. Also, the Constitution of the Empire of New Ruthenia was adopted in 2023.
Geography
Empire of New Ruthenia claims the territory of Antarctica, which is not claimed by any other nation. Approximate area of about 1'600'000 km2. The territory lies in West Antarctica, east of the Ross Ice Shelf and the Ross Sea and south of the Pacific Ocean portion of the Antarctic or Southern Ocean, extending eastward approximately to a line between the head of the Ross Ice Shelf and Eights Coast. It stretches between 158°W and 103°24'W. The barren ice-capped region averages 2,600–6,500 feet (800–2,000 metres) above sea level in altitude, except along its mountainous coast, where in the Flood and Executive Committee ranges there are several peaks higher than 11,000 feet.

Environment
There are a number of Adélie penguin and Emperor penguin colonies in some of the coastal areas of this ecoregion, particularly on the small offshore islands. It includes the charismatic marine animals, such as killer whales, and seals.

Politics
The Head of State
The Imperator & Cěsar of Imperija Nova Ruthenia is the official head of state. The Emperor is the commander-in-chief. For a piece of legislation to become law, it is required that the Emperor gives his Royal Assent.
The Empire Cabinet
The Emperor is supported and advised by a Cabinet. The Cabinet consists of Ministers who are appointed by the Emperor. The Cabinet is the executive power in Imperija Nova Ruthenia. Ministers can advise the Emperor. The Emperor is the Chairman of the Cabinet and has the right to delegate this office to the Chancellor.
Državna Rada
Most of the legislative powers are granted to a Državna Rada. The first Državna Rada of the Empire of New Ruthenia was elected in July 2023, and 20 delegates were elected.

Currency
The Nova-Ruthenian Złoty is the currency unit of Empire of New Ruthenia. The currency issued by the Bank of Empire of New Ruthenia. The plural form is złote and one Nova-Ruthenian złoty is subdivided into 100 groši.
Citizenship
The Emperor signs a decree provided by the Državna Rada on granting citizenship to foreigners. Every citizen can get a passport.
